It is our great pleasure to invite you to participate in the 18th Annual Pathology Research Symposium to be held on Friday, November 15, 2019, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at the Kahn Auditorium located in the A. Alfred Taubman Biomedical Science Research Building.

Our keynote speaker will be Dr. Robert G. Roeder, Laboratory of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, The Rockefeller University:  “Transcriptional regulatory mechanisms in animal cells."

The symposium will also feature several faculty and student speakers, as well as a luncheon/poster session in which graduate students from multiple University of Michigan departments are encouraged to present their research. 

The following Pathology faculty will be presenting their work:

Dr. Tomasz Cierpicki:  "Targeting epigenetic regulators in cancer"

Dr. Chang H. Kim:  "Gut microbial metabolites in regulation of immune cells and inflammation"

Dr. Analisa DiFeo:  "Small but mighty: Function of microRNA-181a in driving ovarian cancer pathogenesis"

Dr. Michael Bachman:  "Risk factors for Klebsiella pneumoniae infections in hospitalized patients"

 

If you would like to present a poster, submit your abstract to laszczem@med.umich.edu by October 25th (form attached). Please be sure to follow the indicated formatting on the form.
