Event Description

Good morning everyone,
I have two Microbial Pathogenesis Journal Club (MPJC) related items to share today - both having to do with Klebsiella pneumoniae gut colonization. This is a unique situation where we have continuity of subject matter and overlapping niches back-to-back which should make for some great discussion!
Up first, next week, Monday Feb 20th at 9 am, our regularly scheduled MPJC programming continues with a presentation from Lavina Unverdorben, from Michael Bachman's lab. She will be sharing, "Gut colonisation with multidrug-resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae worsens Pseudomonas aeruginosa lung infection" (Guern et al., 2023)

Then in two weeks, Monday Feb 27th at 9 am, we have a bonus MPJC presentation where we'll welcome Kyle Gontjes, from Evan Snitkin's lab, to share his rescheduled presentation on development of a murine model for Klebsiella pneumoniae gut colonization,  "Modelling the Gastrointestinal Carriage of Klebsiella pneumoniae Infections"
(this is the same paper from last week, I've just updated the pdf file name to reflect the new presentation day)
Thanks for your attention and I hope you will join us!
~Geoff Severin
