The 2nd Rust Belt Microbiome Conference aims to bring together the microbiome, microbial evolution, and pathogenesis research communities from academic institutions, industry, and medical centers providing a mix of basic and translational science researchers and physicians in clinical practice. The program will cover critical topics in the roles of microbes in human health and disease including: (1) Synthetic Biology and Microbial Engineering, (2) Microbiome and Pathogen Evolution, (3) Tumor Immunotherapy and the Microbiome, (4) Viral Infections and the Microbiome, and (5) Host-Pathogen Interactions. Registration and poster submission are now open. The conference will be held November 3rd-4th, 2022 in Pittsburgh, PA. We are also featuring a scientific writing workshop for undergraduate students.
