UCI Microbiome Amplicon Sequence Analysis Workshop: An Introduction to R-Based Analysis of Microbiome Amplicon Sequence Data Location

2:00 pm

Event Description

Have you received microbiome sequence data, but don't know how to analyze them? This workshop can help:

An Introduction to R-Based Analysis of Microbiome Amplicon Sequence Data

Location: Natural Sciences 1 Room 1114

2 p.m. - 5 p.m., Thursday, March 16

2 p.m. - 5 p.m., Friday, March 17

This hands-on data analysis workshop will teach the use of R studio for microbiome analysis and data plotting. Participants will learn to understand and format amplicon sequence data (such as 16S rRNA), standardize for uneven sequencing depth, and conduct initial statistical analyses.

The workshop will be held on two half days and both days are required.

A practice dataset will be provided, but we welcome you to bring your own data. Registration is limited. Priority will be given to UCI students, staff, and faculty.
