Introduction to Bacterial Pathogenesis

This course covers the basics of the biochemistry, molecular biology, and genetics of chemotaxis and flagella, pill and adhesions, extracellular proteases, bacterial toxins, invasion and intracellular growth, phase and antigenic variation, gene transfer, LPS, iron, M-proteins, capsules, chemotherapy, antibiotic resistance and global regulation of virulence elements.
