Postdoctoral Position at Emory University (Melikian lab)

Postdoctoral

A postdoctoral position is available at the Emory University School of Medicine to join an innovative laboratory that studies the mechanism of HIV entry into cells and its regulation by host factors. Our group combines molecular/cell biology, virology and quantitative microscopy techniques, such as single particle tracking and super-resolution microscopy, to delineate the mechanisms of HIV core transport, uncoating and nuclear entry. We are currently implementing correlative light-cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-CLEM) techniques to gain structural insights into virus entry intermediates. A candidate will work with a collaborative interdisciplinary team and an enthusiastic mentor. Highly motivated individuals holding a Ph.D. degree in virology, cell biology or related fields are encouraged to apply. Emory University provides excellent training and collaborative environment for research.
